Abstract

The topic of this research article is “Kalam-e-Iqbal main Tipu Sultan ka Tazkira”. This research aims to scrutinise the endeavours of Tipu Sultan in Allama Iqbal’s poetry.  Iqbal, in his poetry, wants to arouse the passion of the Muslims of the subcontinent; in this regard, he reminds them of the bright past of the Muslims. As an example, Iqbal has emphasised in his poetry the great personalities of the history of the world, the soldiers dedicated to the abundance of struggle, the mujahideen who sacrificed their lives in the religion of Islam, the people who sacrificed their lives to achieve the destination and the difficult stages, accidents and events on them. He introduces the Muslims of the subcontinent to the achievements of great Muslim personalities and commanders, and gives them the message of thinking and action and adopting the qualities of freedom. Sultan Tipu performed such feats of freedom and bravery, which are a symbol of bravery in history today; it is based on the fact that the extent to which the British faced resistance in the form of Sultan Tipu is not found in the entire subcontinent. Iqbal puts these achievements of the Lion of Mysore as an example in front of the Islamic ummah and tries to awaken the Muslims from the dream; he also reveals the real secret of life, the example of which is the life of Tipu Sultan, who sacrificed himself and took eternal life.
